Hello lovely people,

We hope this email finds you all well.
We've finally had a moment to sit back and reflect at the end of our first year at WCSS. Given the year that it has been, we are delighted to have not only managed to open the school but to also see our community start to take root and grow.

We celebrated big achievements of learning new skills, and marveled about the more subtle achievements of growing confidence, making new friends and learning how to use your voice in the school meetings.

We were delighted to witness our first student GRADUATE (wow!),
and are so proud of how much she grew and changed
in the short time she was in the school.

Oh, the place we'll go!

Next stop...Coomhola.
We have now packed up our home in Glengarriff and are preparing to moving into our new school building in Coomhola.
Looking forward to so much more green space to explore and grow!

We are curious of what this space will evolve into.

Trying to stick to our ethics of affordability and inclusion is a challenge, and this year would not have been possible without the huge dedication of all of the team at WCSS and all the hours that facilitators have volunteered this year. Looking forward we will be hoping to fundraise more and access more grants, but this also takes time and has been more challenging than ever with Covid-19 restrictions.

Admissions

At present we are full for Admissions for September 2021,
however intake will be throughout the school year whenever the community feels ready to welcome more members, earliest November 2021.

If you are interested in joining the WCSS community
make sure to be added to our waiting list.
To do so, please submit your Expression of Interest form (EOI)
which you can find on our website in the Admissions section.

We wish you all a restful yet adventurous summer
& we will update everyone on our moving plans.
