In our second week of action, our athletes were flying high and looking good in their new uniforms by Under Armour! Special thank you to Olvera's BBQ for their commitment to providing great eats all day during week two's games, and for weeks to come this season! And as always, thank you to all of the parents, volunteers, athletes, officials and our amazing cast of coaches. We appreciate everyone on the field and in the background coming together and doing their part to make this thing move! |

Week 2 RISING STARS Each week, coaches and players nominate a teammate as the MVP of the day. This nomination is not only limited to performance, but also can include sportsmanship, hard work, leadership or a willingness to keep improving. With those nominations, we then select the day's best of the best. Here is the second batch of our league's RISING STARS. |

In week two of game play, Ravens' coaches couldn't miss the improvements flashed by RISING STAR, Landon LaVictor! He impacted the game on offense, and quickly learned the art of defense - protecting the sidelines and keeping opponents scrambling toward the middle of the field where his teammates could get involved. Great job, Landon! Each of the Ravens' teams take a 1-1 record into week 3 of league play facing off against the Bears and the Lions. Thank you Swagnew Foundation for your support in the community! |

In his first year of flag football, Noah Christensen has made huge strides which was evident in his week two performance and RISING STAR selection. "He gave maximum effort on offense and defense and was great in flag pulling," said coach, EJ Arnold. When asked, coach Arnold also spoke to the extra time that Noah has been taking to inquire about each play, his position and responsibilities. "Most importantly, Noah was a great teammate. His positive attitude was contagious amongst the team," Arnold said. The Chargers start the season 1-1 and look to start a winning streak against a Giants team who is also sitting at .500. DJ Haynes celebrated a birthday during week one of game play and now adds week 2 RISING STAR to the list of reasons to smile! DJ was given his team's nomination for the way that he has quietly lead his teammates over two weeks through action and word. After a big prime-time win in week two, DJ and the Titans look to stay hot in week 3 against the division's highest scoring offense and unbeaten Patriots. Thank you Dapperagent - Brandon Lewis - for your support in the community! |

The Raiders team is off to a sizzling start of 9-0 behind the outstanding play of RISING STAR, Ashton Luckhardt! Ashton has been running and catching all over the 7th/8th grade division through two weeks of round-robin play and shows no signs of slowing down. The Raiders open play in the prime-time block this week against the Panthers who have something to prove. The Raiders will rely on more big play from Ashton and their exceptional group of athletes. Thank you Labadie Auto Co. for your support in the community! |
