A Moment of Reflection I'd argue that the most important thing we have is energy. We're a collective of beings made up of the same resource pool of source energy (or whatever you'd like to call it), after all.
Twenty twenty— by golly you've been a journey. One for the books for sure. Let me tell ya, there have been many (many) moments I've found myself questioning whether or not I'm living in a satire or simulation, and yet, as selfish as this sounds, I think that 2020 might have been a blessing in disguise. Something to shock us into presence— on all plains. Be it in our personal or cultural awareness and being. A time for calling to action, taking stock, educating, and publicly catching where our culture is at. Say what you want about cancel culture, but holy flip, I am damn proud of our collective being. When I think about where our societal morality and awareness was just 10 years ago, it pales in comparison to our cultural awareness today— and we'll only continue to grow and evolve as a society. We've got a long way to go, but in a way, while this year has been a flipping MESS, the fact that we can see that it is, I truly think says something. Or at least I have to believe that.
Anyways, I digress... Something 2020 has reminded me of thus far, is what truly aligns with my being. And how I want to spend my time. I'd say that now more than ever, we are being guided to reflect and reconnect with what truly makes our unique beings ourselves. A time to remember what truly matters to us each individually. And for me, that's looked like re-evaluating how I spend my time, and trying to incorporate some sort of routine into my life that reconnects me with the importance of source energy— or presence, as I'd also refer to it. Being.
How flipping incredible it is to simple be. To be here. Right now. How marvelous it is that we're just balls of energy— collectively the same energy if you think about it. A part of something big and magical and beyond our understanding. Damn that's cool. Damn we're lucky to be here to experience that, even if just for a short time (short relative to the rest of universe). Despite a global pandemic and societal/cultural actions that get me to question our sanity —I'm so grateful to be here. Right now. All of us collectively.
Reminding myself and reconnecting with that keeps my head on straight when times are wild (aka right now... 2020... we're in that wild time now). xoxo Christie |
