RETURN TO MIDNIGHT is about a true-crime novelist who returns to the "Midnight House," where several of her college friends were murdered to write the story she's been too scared to tell, but as she dives into a case that many would like to keep closed, she starts receiving threats pushing her to reveal her well-guarded and deadly secrets.

Emma's Monthly Movie Recommendation:

Synopsis: Based on the novella by Stephen King, THE MIST tells the story of David Drayton's family after a severe storm. David and his son head into town to gather supplies after their home in Maine is damaged and without power. But soon after, a thick fog rolls in and engulfs the town, trapping the Draytons and other townspeople in the grocery. Unease and terror begin to build as the mist reveals dangerous and supernatural creatures. But the biggest threat might already be inside...

My Thoughts: This movie is incredible at building suspense and unease within the viewer. I can't believe I waited until this past year to watch THE MIST for the first time and now it's one of my top recommended horror/sci-fi movies. I love locked room-close proximity horror and this movie delivers just the sort of complex characterization that emerges from this dynamic. I have to mention the end too..WOW is all I have to say about that.
