HONORING COACH JIM GREGG

In addition to our awesome lights, you'll see another new element at Hammer Field. Tasso Way is now also Jim Gregg Place, as indicated by our new street sign. This was part of July 4, 2023 being officially designated as Jim Gregg Day in the City of Pittsburgh! Thank you, Coach Gregg, for all you do for GBA and Greenfield!

10U and COLT PLAY PNC PARK

Great job by our 10U and Colt teams for making the season championship games, held at PNC Park! Our 10U team came home as winners with the Mayor's Cup, and our Colt team finished as runner-ups! This was a special opportunity and memory for all the kids and families, and something for the younger players to check out and work hard towards.

PIRATES RBI TEAM MAKES WORLD SERIES

Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) is a Major League Baseball youth outreach program and holds national playoffs ending in a major World Series. Five players from GBA made the Pirates team this year: Jason Peyton (15U), Bryan McCann, Garrett White, Mike Twigg, and Jimmy Zugai (18U). The 18U team had the incredible achievement of winning the Mid-Atlantic Region Championship. They traveled to the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Florida and played against Curacao, Newark, Chicago, and Atlanta. The Curacao game was even featured in a national MLB article which you can read here >>

Our entire GBA community is proud of the hard work and achievements of these players!

2023 SEASON WRAP-UP

What a fantastic spring/summer season for GBA! T-ball and Coach Pitch introduced many new players to the game, and had a blast mixing teams up at All-Star Day. GBA championships were won by the Royals (for Minors) and Pirates (for Little League). Our older players had terrific spring seasons, with each Greenfield team making the playoffs. Bronco ended up finishing in third, Pony fourth, and Colt and Super Colt both in second place in the Pirates/CitiSports RBI program standings. 8U, 10U, and 12U tournament teams combined for SEVEN first place wins, facing teams from all over the region. Lots of good things happening at GBA! We are thankful to the coaches, leaders, and volunteers who make it happen for the kids. Well done to all our players! Keep it up!

SUPER COLT GRADUATES

GBA is proud of our Super Colt players who graduated from high school this year -- Logan Carter, Roman Donis, Jack Heider, Nolan Hurd, Bryan McCann, Brandon Twigg, and Michael Twigg.

Congratulations, everyone, and thanks for the GBA memories! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
