Botanical Skin Care

Herbal Workshops coming up

September 25 and November 13

Botanical Skin Workshops with Jean Johnson

Botanicals have been used throughout the ages to beautify the skin and slow the effects of aging. In this two-hour seminar, you will learn how to prepare highly effective skin care formulations from all natural ingredients that are equal to the expensive ones used in high-end salons.

September 25th 11am to 1pm

We will walk through making a home-made facial scrub; a refreshing toner; and a moisturizing serum. Participants will leave the class with three formulations for their home use made from plants from Our Global Family Farm.

These include:

- a lavender-based facial scrub;

- a moisturizing serum using a calendula extract; and

- a toner based on lemon balm and chamomile.

The cost of this class is $40

November 13th 11am to 12:30pm

There will also be a 1 1/2 hour class on November 13th from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm on making a broad-purpose herbal first aid remedy. Participants will take home their own salve and the cost will be $20.

Those who pre-register for the two classes at the same time can do so for a discounted rate of $50 for both

We want to ensure that cost is not an issue for anyone interested in attending. If that is an issue, please email me Teresa Lees treelees@charter.net for a half-off discount code.
