MAY 2024 Updates from STUDIO HROMI |
Hello newsletter recipients! This month I wanted to share a new home update, with a photo of the progress I've made so far setting up my office. Making sure my workspace was functional was one of my top priorities when we first moved in. Painting the walls emerald green was pretty far outside my comfort zone, but I wanted to utilize all of my existing furniture and I found some inspiration on Pinterest that got me thinking that dark green would go nicely with my pink chair and the warm-toned wood floors. Next I'll finally put up curtains and hang some art on the walls, and I'd like to eventually get a drafting table to put in front of the window. I would love to be surrounded by more plants, but unfortunately the room doesn't get a lot of sunlight. C'est la vie. Hopefully by next month's newsletter, the room will be even further along and I'll share another update! |

PRODUCT FEATURE: HANDMADE SKETCH PADS |
As mentioned last month, I've been gradually discontinuing some older prints that have been taking up inventory space for quite some time, and have been turning them into covers for new handmade sketch pads. I recently finished a big new batch utilizing old houseplant prints! They come in two sizes (4x6.5" and 5x7.5") and when you're done with them, you can trim off the top half-inch of the cover for a free 4x6" or 5x7" print! Find these and other stationery here. |

While you're there, you can take advantage of 30% off for just a few more days, to help me clear out some inventory in light of my recent move. Just use promo code MOVING30 at checkout! Sale excludes clearance items and custom illustrations. |

Recently I spent some time adding/updating a few pages at studiohromi.com, to better showcase some of my creative work as well as properly telegraph certain services I offer and types of projects I want to do more of in the future. All of my analog collage works are now contained in an online gallery, whereas previously the pieces would simply disappear from my shop once they sold. I've also added a page under "Services" strictly for logo design, since I've had more client work in that realm lately, and lastly a page dedicated to all three of the murals I've done so far. Speaking of murals, I recently stumbled across this video, which has some great shots of the mural I designed and painted for Bunker Elementary School's new STEAM lab early last year. |

I have two markets coming up in June: Division Arts Festival on Saturday June 1st and East Grand Rapids After Dark creative market on Thursday June 6th. |
See studiohromi.com/events for other upcoming markets and events as they get added to the calendar. You can also shop anytime online at studiohromi.com/shop and Redbubble, and while supplies last at Scorpion Hearts Club and the GRPM Curiosity Shop in Grand Rapids, and Half Mile Handmade in Bay City. I'm currently looking for one or two additional local or regional spots to sell my wares, so if you have ideas for shops that would be a good fit please pass them along! |

As always, Instagram is where I'm most active online, but you can follow me on any of the social media platforms below, plus Tumblr and Threads. |
