Hello and welcome to your bi-monthly review!

Greetings and Salutations!

I am long overdue for a newsletter! I want to share information with you, all in one convenient place (since the algorithm for LinkedIn doesn't send my posts to everyone).

Did you know there was a blog for EaaS? Or that I appear on many podcasts? And speak at events (that may be in your area)?? I won't inundate you with information, just some highlights twice a month.

I'm looking forward to connecting with you as EaaS grows along with your business!

All the best,
Erika

I write blogs. Every week. The last 2 blogs were part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. TL;DR

~ imagined cyber issues from 1995 films are real now.

FROM THE ARCHIVE

I started writing weekly blogs a year ago. I made this Newsletter now. Here's an oldie:

What's New With EaaS?

Here's an overview of what happened that's of interest -- or will happen before the next installment!

I will be speaking with Lisa Atkinson on live webinar hosted by Zelvin Security, cybersecurity specialists, on 15 November from 12-1pm ET. Topic? Bracing for Impact: Preparing Public Entities for Business Interruption. Sign up here.

I was commissioned to do two modules to the Carolina Small Business Develipment Fund's Digital Library Academy. I did one on business continuity and one on risk management.

I was invited to develop a course on business continuity management for Crisis Lab, part of Capacity Building International, an international organization. I am currently working on that for launch in January.

This week is extememly active for being a guest. I did a live office hours with Bunker Labs - an organization for which I am an ecosystem partner. It was about Adulting in Your Business So It Doesn't Fail. I am recording three more guest spots (2 podcasts, 1 radio interview) this week. You can catch all of the information about them and the recordings here.

I just completed a Mastermind with 9 other female entreprenuers in Asheville, NC. The course material really (accidentally) underscored how important business continuity is. Thank you to Marty Brown and Neal Ward of Pinnacle Financial Partners for being our moderators!

If...

If you prefer my hot takes visually, I do have both a tiktok and Instagram account (same content, take your pick).

Things that make you go hmmm

This is either a fun way to end a newsletter, a mic drop, a new resource I want to share, or something deep.

Is this a business continuity plan? There is no need to be a stickler for exact terms when the concept is accurately conveyed. Does it convery the concept and goal even though industry terms/terms of art would title it differently? Absolutely. All three steps are important and in the proper order.

I mean...I could be a stickler and say this is more of the emergency management response part of a business continuity plan, skipping over many things BUT the end result is all that matters. See the forest for the trees first.

If you have a comment or thought, I'm happy to hear 'em!
