What a week! Some criminals were let off the hook, we have a new president, and I was really busy doing some custom work, including a personalized Bat Mitzvah card order on Etsy ... Let's just say I spent so much time in Staples to print it and was such a complicated customer, that the staff decided it was easier NOT to charge me. I think my mom would be proud. So pardon me, but I'm keeping the intro short because I'm tired! On to the doodles! |

A last-minute pardoning spree in DC |
On Tuesday night, Trump's last-minute pardoning reminded me of myself trying to get drinks for my crew before last call at the bar. Ivanka did not get a pardon and has not been charged of anything yet, but apparently, Trump was considering preemptive pardons as a parting gift for his loyal family. Steve Bannon went from Trump's adviser to his enemy, and now he's been pardoned. He's probably back on his yacht. And Joe Exotic from Tiger King says his request for pardon was ignored because he's "too innocent and too gay." Trump, Tiger King, I can't make this stuff up! But both shows are over, for now... and I'll always appreciate them for the doodle inspiration. |

Inauguration was a winter fashion show |
Inauguration gave us not only a new president but also a parade of colorful winter looks! I thought the event deserved fashion police coverage, so I drew it myself. I included the video version of the doodle above with the doodles, voiceover, and cute graphics, and you can see the static doodle on my blog. Also, here's some background on the "shoe-stopper," Kamala Harris' nephew. |

Ideas to replace Samantha in the Sex and the City reboot |
In last week's newsletter, I promised I'd do this doodle, so here it is, even though SJP says they are not going to replace Samantha in the Sex and the City reboot, renamed "And just like that." I'm glad I waited to do it so Bernie could get in there and a character from Bling Empire, a new binge-worthy show on Netflix. Also, this weekend, I dressed up like each of the four ladies from SATC for a fun video of the "where are they now" doodle I did last week. I'll post it on social media in the next few days and in the next newsletter! |

You all make me feel ... ready for Valentine's Day |
I shared sketches of Valentine's Day card ideas two weeks ago, and there was not a clear winner. So, I went with the one that was my favorite and honestly, the easiest to draw! I'm selling them on Etsy here. |

Celebrating milestones with a virtual bachelorette party, press, and a doodle |
I was supposed to go to Australia last year for my college best friend, Kisha's, wedding there. When she eloped instead, I planned her a virtual bachelorette party with two friends that went so well, I wrote an article for Insider that published Dec. 30! (I work at Insider on the business side, so I was excited to get an editorial byline) I couldn't post this without a doodle, so I included the doodle I made for Kisha's birthday last month, which also celebrated another milestone, she's pregnant! This forced me to learn how to draw a Kangaroo, which I think is pretty cute. Just add a bow. |

I did a photoshoot to get some fun new pictures of my cards so I can stand out on Etsy! (But if you do want some cards, email me for a better rate :D ) |
