End of Season Update

May 23rd- September 26th

As the season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had at Pata de Perro- Community Bike Club. Despite operating out of a challenging and hard-to-find location, our impact on the community continues to grow, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the resilience of our mission.

Succes!

This year, we welcomed over 200 visits during our 4 hours of operation each week—Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. These numbers are a testament to the growing demand for accessible bike repair services and community programming in Rochester.

None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, whose numbers have also grown throughout the season.. We started this season with a handful of volunteers and now over 60 individuals are signed up to volunteer. With more hands on deck, we’ve been able to help even more individuals access the tools, parts, and knowledge they need to keep their bicycles running smoothly. Pata de Perro remains dedicated to empowering people through, affordable bicycle options, mentoring the community in bicycle repair and offering a welcoming space for everyone—whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out.

- More than 200 patron visits!

- Over 60 new volunteers!

- Added 2 additional hours of operation!

Thank you to everyone—our incredible volunteers, visitors, and supporters—who have made this season a success. The passion and commitment our volunteers have shown is truly inspiring. From guiding patrons through repairs to mentoring new cyclists, each of you has been essential in ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors receives the support they need.

Because of your hard work, we’ve been able to make a real impact on Rochester’s biking community. We’re excited for what lies ahead, and we look forward to building on the amazing work we’ve accomplished together. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make Pata de Perro a welcoming and supportive space for all!
