New Playground Equipment for the Rosebud Community Park Association

Emily Hollandsworth is making a difference in Rosebud! She and her growing family are residents and enjoy taking their kids to the park to play. While they were playing she realized that the playground equipment could use an update. She contacted the park association and went to a meeting to get information about the park and playground equipment. Soon after, she joined the Rosebud Community Park Association and started a fundraising campaign to purchase new playground equipment and improve the landscaping around the playground.

After some research she realized she is going to need a significant amount of money! It will likely cost somewhere between $50-75,000 to make the planned improvements.

Undeterred, herself, family members and volunteers started raising money for the worthwhile endeavor. She started with a shoe drive this past fall and it was a great success. Emily quickly realized the generosity of this amazing community! The next fundraising event will be St. Patrick’s Day at the Park and will be held on March 19th. It is sure to be a fun filled afternoon for families! Emily has also started the “Penny’s for the Park” campaign. Several shops in the area each have containers that you can drop your spare change into! Such an easy way to help - put your change in the jar!

Visit the Playground for Rosebud Community Park Facebook page to get additional information. You can also make a donation at any time by contacting Emily through this same page. The park is a 501c3 organization and can accept tax deductible donations!!

Emily is a great example of working hard to make ideas into reality! Any and all help is appreciated - from your time, spare change and/or a tax deductible donation!!

ATV Sticker Information

Enforcement to begin April 1, 2022

The new Rosebud permit ordinance for ATV, UTV, and low-speed vehicles goes into effect on March 1, 2022. In order to drive legally on the streets and alleys maintained by the City of Rosebud and the Rosebud City limits of County Road Old Motel and State Highway T, all vehicles in these categories will need to obtain a permit. To receive a permit, your machine must have a simple inspection and a permit tag must be puchased per machine for $15.00. The inspection will check for an orange triangle or tall flag attached to vehicle, working headlights, taillights, muffler & braking system.

There will be an inspection event at the Rosebud Community Park Saturday, March 4 from noon til 3 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 from 2 p.m. til 4 p.m. If you cannot make these dates, you can call the police department to set up an inspection at your convenience.

A picture of the new sticker you will need is shown to the right of this article and you can view the full ordinance below by zooming in on the images or right-clicking on it and selecting 'Open Image in New Tab.' Any questions can be answered by our local Rosebud Police Department.
