All members are welcome to attend the Board Meeting on October 11, 2021 at 1:45pm to watch and listen in. At 2pm our guest Teresa Bendito, founder of Parque Padrinos, and owner of Teresita's Consulting will join us. She will share the health equity work that the Madrinas de Salud has accomplished during this past year. Teresa will share who they've served, how they have accomplished this work, and lessons learned from doing this work. You won't want to miss this! We will also be hearing from Peter Diedrick, WSSRA's Legislative Director. He'll update us on the upcoming Legislative session, and hopefully have an update concerning the Confluence Health and Premera Blue Cross situation/negotiations. Mark your calendars for upcoming webinars on Retirement Planning & Health Care. Active members of Chelan-Douglas School Retirees - watch for your application for Fall 2021 Mini Grants. If someone is not a member, join today and be ready to apply for your Mini Grant. At our October meeting, the decision will be made concerning November 8th - Zoom or in-person. Local elections are coming up November 2, 2021. If you're not registered to vote or need to do a change of address, do it ASAP.

We have CDSRA Members that may no longer drive or be as social as they once were. We like to let these members know we appreciate them. We enjoy bringing fun and cheer throughout the year. Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Fourth of July just to name a few. We are thankful for Chairwoman Billie Kraft, and her band of helpers who deliver the "goodie bags." The CDSRA "Connections Project" is accepting donations for this program. If you have any of the following: envelopes, paper supplies, crafts, sandwich bags, sealed pepperoni, nuts, masks, colorful pens, small tablets, sticky notes, baskets/bags, crossword puzzles or word search books, as well as appropriate holiday fun items. Please drop off donations at Bev Jagla's at 225 NE 19th #12 (corner of Baker & 19th) in East Wenatchee. If Wenatchee is more convenient - drop off at Kriss Crilly's at 1311 Pershing Street (between Springwater & Maple). If they are not home, front porch is fine. Deliveries are made to approximately 30-35 people. |

A "thank you" from Wenatchee! CDSRA contributed to the "Homeless Fund" in the Cascade, Cashmere, Chelan, Entiat, Eastmont, Manson, Waterville and Wenatchee School Districts. We are currently working on getting the funds delivered to each district. |
