Over the last year I have worked with a ministry called “Iglesia Infantil” in Honduras to train leaders to start children’s ministries in their local churches. I came to Honduras in 2019 with the intention of learning this ministry, how it functions and any changes we could make to replicate it in another country later on. I have loved living in Honduras, have made great friends and deeply appreciated the openness of the national church to me as a missionary.
The opportunity has arisen to start “Iglesia Infantil” in Belize and my leadership has asked me to make the move now rather than finishing my term in Honduras. It is an honor and a privilege to be considered for this role. After much prayer and consideration and with the support of my area director, regional director and the national church of Honduras I will be moving to Belize City, Belize in just a few weeks. I am very excited about the opportunity to serve in Belize and pioneer children’s ministry in a country that has had little to no experience with it. Of the 65 AG churches in Belize, only three are actively ministering to children. There is a great need for more children’s ministry workers and children’s evangelism- I can’t wait to get started!
