BAYCS AND GREENBELT ALLIANCE IS HOSTING AN ART CONTEST! With Greenbelt alliance, we are hosting an art contest for high schoolers in the bay area to showcase nature based solutions to climate change. Greenbelt is looking for artwork that addresses a specific environmental challenge in a creative way. There will be prizes available for the top winners and a chance for the art to be displayed in a gallery! TREES WATER & PEOPLE: CONSERVATION THROUGH COLLABORATION IN CENTRAL AMERICA This Saturday, April 2 at 10am, BAYCS is hosting a workshop with Trees, Water, and People. Come learn about their conservation efforts in Central America and how they support local partners in defending its natural resources, all with an emphasis of “collaborating with the people.” We are so thrilled to have Daniela Bueso and Valentina de Rooy from TWP joining us for this workshop! | | |

WOMEN IN CONVERSATION WEB DISCUSSION With Earth Day just around the corner, on Wednesday, April 20 from 4:30-8:30, The Press Democrat is having a Women in Conversation panel to call for climate action. Sonoma county is experiencing the harsh realities of climate change with issues such as extreme heat, droughts, and wildfires. The panel will have two incredible activist speakers: Jamie Margolin and Winona LaDuke. | | |

REMEMBER THE BAY AREA SCIENCE FESTIVAL? The Bay Area Science Festival is coming to you in April! From April 22-30, you can volunteer your time helping with distribution, registration, set up/clean up, and information booths. EARTH DAY RALLY IN SAN FRANSISCO WITH YVA AND GREENACTION Youth vs Apocalypse and GreenAction in San Francisco are hosting a climate strike on April 22, 2022 at the Civic Center Plaza at 10:00 am. The demands include a full cleanup of all radioactive and toxic contamination due to community vulnerability, full reparations and health services for all residents and workers (past and present), and the establishment of community oversight. This targets low income communities that have previously been pushed aside in general and within the climate movement. Join us in supporting our SF Bayview community!! |
