Shirley purchased these embroidered squares from Sew Green and made a beautiful quilt top.

Ruthie and Millie are regulars at our Family Sewing Club on Saturdays from 11-1. Ruthie made a cute little felt carrot by cutting and hand sewing pieces of felt with added buttons for embellishment.

Millie is holding a skirt she made. She cut the fabric and sewed it up by machine. It has an elastic waist and really cute hemline embellishments.

Here is Millie proudly wearing the skirt she made for herself. Great work Millie. Such an accomplishment to create your own articles of clothing!

Upcoming Classes

Sewing Machine 101/102

 July 9 11-1 and 4-6PM

Make friends with a sewing machine in our shop or bring yours from home. We will take you through the basics of machine operation and safety, and guide you toward sewing a project. Also, build on the skills you've gained in 101. Is there a sewing project that interests you, or that you want to complete? How can your newly-gained sewing machine skills help you achieve that goal? This is the place and time to learn!

Serger 101/102

July 13 2-4

Sergers can be a little intimidating but they are great sewing tools once you understand how to use and adjust them to suit your project!  In the 101 class, learn the basics of threading and tension.  For Serger 201, you've learned the basics but want to go further!  Bring your serger, or sit down at the shop sergers.  If you bring your own, don't forget your serger's manual and all its feet, too!
