July Lamplighter Event Recap |

On July 29th, the Omega Lamplighters Cohort hosted a memorable event featuring Sterling Gillum, a Lieutenant with the City of Chattanooga Fire Department. Lieutenant Gillum engaged with the mentees, delivering an inspiring talk titled "The Crux of the Matter: Finding Your Reason Why". His presentation focused on the importance of discovering one's purpose and staying motivated in the pursuit of personal and professional goals. His insights and experiences provided valuable lessons and encouragement for all attendees. The event also included an exciting Black History Trivia session, where participants showcased their knowledge of important historical facts and figures. The competition was fierce, but Ben Sledge emerged victorious, impressing everyone with his quick thinking and depth of knowledge. Overall, the July Lamplighter Event was a great success, offering both inspiration and education to the mentees. Special thanks to Sterling Gillum for his impactful contribution and congratulations to Ben Sledge for his trivia triumph. We look forward to more enriching events in the future! |

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the East Chattanooga Community Center came alive with the vibrant and joyous atmosphere of The Bridge Builder Cookout. This annual event brought together members of the community, friends, and families for a day of fun, food, and fellowship. The cookout featured an array of delicious grilled foods, side dishes, and desserts, catering to all tastes and preferences. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including games, music, and sports, creating a lively and engaging environment for participants of all ages. The highlight of the event was the sense of community and connection it fostered. People had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, make new acquaintances, and strengthen the bonds within the community. The Bridge Builder Cookout not only provided a platform for enjoyment but also reinforced the spirit of unity and collaboration that is central to The Bridge Builder Collective's mission.
