ACES AND PLACES • Congratulations to Randal and Melissa Barnett from our Sponsor Grand Cru Wineshop and Cellar, on the safe arrival of their first baby daughter Gabriella! • Condolences and love to the Soklich Family, another wonderful Club Sponsor, on the passing of their beloved Daniel. Our thoughts are with you at this tough time. • Here's to Brendan Chan, Krish Govindarajan, Hunter Kwietniewski-Lees and Lucas McKenzie who have been selected for the Tennis Australia Super 10s: the best sixteen boys aged 10 and under from WA. Go boys!! • A truckload of Juniors played in the recent O3K J125 State Closed Championships at City Beach. Well done to Kian Hiramatsu for coming runner up in the MS OS Tier 2, Zayah Baker who won the GS U14JS, Toma Terasawa who took second place in the BD U12 JS, Dustin Clegg and Keisuke Kogo who won the BD U14 JS and Zayah Baker who won the GD U14JS with Chloe Tyers with Addison Franklin as runners up. Plenty of top 4 finishers and great results from our Hensman Juniors! • Friday Nights have been cranking along this term with the usual fun of Junior Squads, Pickleball, Women's State League matches, hot dogs and burgers and a busy bar. A huge thanks to the legends who have been helping out on the Friday Night Roster: Filipe de Carvalho, Kasia Czeck, Pari Chandra, Anna Kelly, Ken McIntosh, Peter Messer, Ben Connolly, Trish Haffenden and John Kendall (get in touch if you're able to help!) and hope to see everyone down for the Term 1 TERMinator this week! • Get-well-soons to Chris Kennedy who is recovering from a fall, Peter Messer who hurt his back and Frank Hall who gave us all quite a fright recently when he suffered a stroke. We hear you are all recovering well and hope to see you all back around the Club soon, either on the court or at the bar! • Ian and Cathy Hutchison are off again, this time to Sydney for a family catch-up, • Congrats to Bob Wegner on celebrating the big 8-0 this month! As always, a big party and lots of fun was had at Globe Coffee House to ring in the next decade! • Welcome to our newest members Jane Milne, Garth Stewart, Andy Guneratne, Kylie Woon and Sarah Connolly! |
