FEBRUARY SHOUTOUT

LET'S TALK ABOUT STRENGTHS AS A LOVE LANGUAGE

Do you know your strengths?

In this month of love, I'm even more convinced that we can show love by learning more about ourselves, as well as more about our partners, friends, and colleagues. One way to start doing this is to understand our strengths and the strengths of those we surround ourselves with.

The number one assessment tool I use with clients, teams, and in my personal relationships is StrengthsFinder. In my latest article, I go into detail about the assessment tool, but in a nutshell: The assessment provides the self-awareness to know what you’re good at and how to leverage your strengths in all you do. How does this relate to love and productivity? When people understand their own as well as others' strengths, they can communicate and interact in ways that feel more validating and ultimately are more productive.

If you are interested in learning more about the Strengths assessment, shoot me an email (sara@saracaputoconsulting.com). I'm available to guide you and your team (or partner) through the process with group and 1:1 coaching. I have worked with hundreds of people in this capacity and it is one of the main things I get hired to do with individuals and businesses. It’s my passion to help people “decode” themselves as well as others through their Strengths results and it’s a simple process with profound learning that can transform relationships, get results, and help companies perform better in a lot of interesting, unusual, and important ways.

Learning One Another’s Language

In this month's Santa Barbara Independent article, I dive into the topic of love languages as well as the idea of our strengths being a love language. And once again, I use my husband Steve and me as a prime example of a couple learning and growing through these assessment tools. (A little preview: I've not always understood why or how Steve can be so happy-go-lucky in the morning. Frankly, it got on my nerves more than a few times...)
