UPCOMING EVENTS
 
As many of you know, my favorite season is Autumn, and I am so looking forward to the coming weeks. Not only because of the weather, but to watch my Houston Astros make a run to the World Series, and my Georgia Bulldogs earn another Championship.
 
However, that is not all that excites me. Starting this weekend (21-23 October) is the Life Under Construction Conference in Suffolk, VA. I will be presenting on the 22nd sharing a "Living Your Life Framework" to help you and your legacy better appreciate the full breadth of factors to consider and align to achieve your desired trajectory. I am also in my second month of facilitating Family Empowerment Sessions in support of Successful Innovations, the next session is October 25th where we explore the question, "Are you raising Children or Adults."  That is also open for registration.  And lastly, I begin in earnest the Parent Program in Easton, MD on October 27th in support of Polaris Village Academy.

RECENT EVENTS
 
The past few weeks has seen an increased number of community events and hosted events.  This included a new partnership with YESUSA Transformational Cities (Mr. Ron Atkinson) in the Norfolk, VA area where I have been supporting community efforts at Booker T. Washington and Lake Taylor High Schools,
 
Additionally, facilitated the first Family Empowerment Session (September 27th) on the importance of recognizing the impact different parenting styles has on your children. And we continue to have highly engaging Raising Confident Daughters Alumni Calls on the second Monday of the month, a safe space for invested fathers to share challenges and recommendations to best raise our daughters. 
 
Lastly, spent the last week in Charlotte, NC supporting Successful Innovations who co-hosted the National Family Engagement Summit which had over 850 in-person participants actively sharing views and approaches to improve our families and the critical relationships between schools and community.

LIFE ALIGNMENT
 
In recent months I have shared my thoughts and views on realizing Life Balance -- a difficult achievement that is often sought at some point in our lives.
 
I am going to transition from that relatively narrow aspect to a broader one -- akin to what is best termed "Life Alignment."
 
Earlier this year I found myself helping college students prepare for the eventuality of full-fledged adulthood ... and all that comes with that independence most children in high school and college do not completely understand.
 
In helping them I found that the uncertainties and inevitable challenges each will face are not isolated to "20 somethings" but also pose issues to 30- and 40-year old's and especially to parents of teenagers. That was the genesis of my Living Your Life Framework which seeks to help you align your actions with your aspirations, holistically ... personally and for your legacy.
