To our wonderful couples, we feel so lucky to have each one of you in our lives during this time. Thank you for your kindness; you amazing people have become like our family. We are grateful for you and cannot wait to chat in person, face to face.
We just wanted to send you guys an updated Covid newsletter. Premier Doug Ford spoke today about weddings, and unfortunately he didn't have many answers. We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, next month, or a few months down the road. Here is what we do know: it's an anxious time for everyone. Our hearts sincerely go out to all the couples that are having to replan, and to those couples that are trying to plan 2021 weddings.
Remember you are not alone in this. Some of you have already rescheduled your wedding for next year which is likely your safest solution. If you rescheduled your wedding to later this year and haven't already made a plan b and for some plan c, you should start ASAP. Please don't get discouraged, your day will come! Starting to plan as soon as possible is pivotal in creating the best and safest plan for your dream wedding, so let us help in that process.
As our Canadian Government is slowly reopening the country in stages, we have a few scenarios to consider:
1. Everything will open up too fast which may lead to a second wave. As a result, everyone will need to self-isolate again and we are starting from the beginning. Meaning weddings most likely will not happen.
2. Weddings will be kept to a strict minimum number of guests. Resulting in a smaller wedding than you had wished for and you will have to take guests off your guest list for the wedding; even those who mean the world to you.
3. Eventually, things will open up slowly with no minimum number of guests at each wedding. However, it's important to remember that some of your guests will be hesitant to attend. Unfortunately, you won't have the full wedding you planned.
Regardless of the scenario that happens in the coming months, we need to be proactive. There are many options to consider during this time and some couples are still planning on getting married on their original wedding date of this year (if allowed). So, to capture their love, we are shooting their house, ceremony, and park. And they are moving their reception for next year. If you still have your heart set on your original date, there are ways to still have your ceremony! Let's discuss them.
However, some venues are dealing with couples on a month to month basis. So please do reach out to them, and ask them when you can look at back up dates.
Creating a personal connection with each of our couples is very important to us. Just like you, this pandemic has made our lives flip upside down in so many ways. We want to work with you to create the love and magic of a wedding. We along with the rest of the wedding industry, cannot wait to return to work and make your wedding magical. While it may look different than you had dreamed of it, we are going to do the best we can to capture every loving moment.
Here is what to do next: This is very important. Please, do not rebook your date, or come up with plan B before speaking to us first. Please email me and I will give you an updated list of dates. Next, you can then contact your venue (if they allow), to select a date that is available for both of us, and then we can book it!
Please be sure to re-confirm your date with me as my schedule is changing daily. I promise, to get back to you as soon as possible.
We are here for you!
