HEADING TO THE TC
"Miss Mitchell" is the pristine example of what a dedicated group of volunteers can accomplish. Donated to the Minnesota Wing in the 1980's, volunteers immediately began a complete ground-up restoration of this versatile medium bomber.
We are very excited to visit the Twin Cities in Minnesota - specifically the Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing. They have been working very hard at letting people know about the Return To Hardwick screening that will take place on July 13 at 6 PM. Tell your friends and family members to come on out if they live close!
The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing hosts two WWII style hangar dances each year- one in June and one in September
So far this summer it has been amazing to travel with the film and give people the opportunity to see it. Myself and the 93rd Bomb Group have worked very hard over these last few years to make our donors proud and give audiences the best viewing experience possible. Not only are we fulfilling the associations' wishes by getting the 93rd's story out to the public, we are also educating future generations about the war and the consequences of conflict. Many more preview screenings are planned and I look forward to getting our message out there.
Uhhh ... thank you Mr. Burns! Early on Monday morning (7.8.19) accomplished and well respected documentary filmmaker Ken Burns tweeted to his followers about an interview director Michael Sellers did for Argunners Magazine. We are guessing he thought the project looked kind of interesting and wanted to make his followers aware of it. We'll take it! Below is a screen grab of the tweet on his Twitter page.

Now with the excitement of Ken Burn's tweet out of the way, the Argunners Magazine interview with director Michael Sellers is provided in the link below. The interview was conducted by Charley Valera, author of My Father's War: Memories from Our Honored WWII Soldiers.
Awesome time in Punta Gorda, FL at the Military Heritage Museum last month. Amy and her staff really made us feel at home. They have a great theater at their new location and we only see good things in the future for them. If you get a chance visit this gem of a place.

The 93rd Bomb Group was the most decorated, most traveled and most effective bomb group of WWII. Helping to cripple Hitler's Europe from the air, they executed some of the most daring bombing raids of the war. Along with the group's rich history - sons, daughters and grandchildren travel to England and explore the 93rd's long forgotten airbase - Hardwick Aerodrome 104.
