I also got a phone call from my kid, after he finished a triathlon in British Columbia. He's a freshman at the University of Oregon and nothing makes me happier on Mother's Day than knowing my kids is happy too. On top of that, the hubby and I are working on a top secret project I hope to share soon.
My gift to myself this year is that my fourth novel goes on sale this week. It's a book about friendship, family, and what's next in life. One of my favorite things about it is the two characters in the novel are in their fifties, just like me. This age can be a time to re-evaluate your life, including what the next phase of it will look like. Believe me - sometimes it feels like life is really just getting going at this age.
