What did you like the most? “How empowered the performers clearly felt - how they were telling their own stories, the message they were conveying & the passion behind it!” “The empathetic approach and message of hope. I find your events so uplifting! The generosity of the food being offered after the event was also part of the success of the event.” |

🙌 Train the Trainer Workshop 🙌 |
As part of Medway Community Healthcare's Commonal-ities Project with Professor Tracey Reynolds from University of Greenwich and Dr Warren Hickson from Medway Community Healthcare Partnership we have been commissioned to facilitate Train the Trainer workshops, working with trainers representing different groups facing inequalities. We've been sharing how to use creativity and the arts to facilitate workshops that empower people to share their experiences, express their feelings and come up with possible solutions to the challenges in their communities. |

🌸 Reflecting at the close of a few projects 🌸 |

Thanks to Greenwich Mental Health Hub we’ve been able to run 2 terms of Creativity for Wellbeing! We’re very grateful to all the amazing guests who joined us, and for the opportunities to visit the National Maritime Museum and Westcombe Woodlands. Thanks to all the women who made this project such a nurturing, and uplifting space. |

"I learnt that taking care of me shouldn't be a guilty pleasure, but something I should prioritise to be able to take good care of everyone else." "This project makes me feel happy, feel calm and share everything with other women." "It's become a safe space to laugh, cry, vent and be myself" 🌸 🌸 🌸 |
It’s been a real pleasure to run Mums Together Be Well Hub, for perinatal migrant women at Brookhill Children’s Centre. Thanks to SLAM we've been able to create a safe space to talk about our experiences, to be true to ourselves, and to explore relaxation and mindfulness techniques that we can carry into our every day lives. |

"I was trying for so long to make friends as I was going through depression and then I met this group. People are friendly and supportive. I now feel better mentally. Sometimes you neglect yourself but the activities we do bring you back to yourself and to your ambitions, to what you want to improve." 🌸 🌸 🌸 |

Thanks to Plumcroft Primary School we piloted Creative Parenting, a project for parents to share experiences and explore different parenting techniques in a participatory and creative way. 100% of participants said this project helped improve their relationship with their children. |

"It helped me see other parents in a different light, made me relate more with other parents." 🌸 🌸 🌸 |

📖 Migrant women becoming ‘stronger together’ through the arts 📖 |

💪 The power of cultural social prescribing for health 💪 |

Great to see our work acknowledged in this GLA article here. “Creative health is an enabler to amplify patient experience and voice: creative activities can make visible and uplift lived experience. In turn, this improves personalised care routes and leads to more inclusive conversations in healthcare. For example, Creating Ground’s Theatre in Action project allows migrant women to explore issues around healthcare access in a way that has tangible impact, seeing the theatre group performing for key stakeholders of the Integrated Care Board. By harnessing creative methods of co-production and evaluation, healthcare services can better understand the experiences of those who may have traditionally gone unheard. This feels key to the reduction of health inequalities in South East London.”
