From the Publisher's Desk

Our next release will be Byte the Hand That Made You. Ava is a new android, coming online for the first time. She is the first of a new kind of androids meant to take the place as the cutting-edge of the technology. But as she slowly learns how best to serve her creator, she finds that being in the man's service isn't all it's cracked up to be. And when she meets his neighbor, a mystery is slowly revealed; not about the neighbor, but about Ava herself.

Look for Byte the Hand That Made You, coming out March 10th. Pre-orders are now available wherever you get books.

Did you know that we also have audiobooks? We're currently working through all our previous books, trying to include them in our current audiobook collection. But going forward, all books, including Byte the Hand That Made You, will now be released with an audiobook. These are only available on Google Play at the moment, but we are still looking into other avenues as well. Check out our Audiobook page on the website for which titles are currently available.

From the Writer's Desk

Wow, is it March already? Even with the leap day, this year is just flowing past. Part of that is just how much I enjoy writing, whether or not people get to read it. Though, of course, I prefer it if people did.

I started my 43rd book just a couple of days ago. Social Gods posits the idea that, once someone gets enough of a following online, they would start to ascend to godhood. That many of the gods of old used this to keep their own status. The main character has to struggle with the idea that she might be ascending to that higher status... or just going insane.

One of the supporting characters in the book goes by Ath, and is a composite of all gods of war and knowledge throughout history. That means that they're equally Ares and Athena.. making them my first non-binary character. I'm not quite sure why I hadn't included a non-binary character before this, but it will be interesting what happens with them.

Social Gods should be coming out some time next year. With how many books I'm writing each year, though, it is sometimes hard to figure out just how far off that is. I think it's our March 2025 release.

From the Event Desk

Welcome to 2024. I haven't gotten around to scheduling my usual events, though I'll most likely be heading back to Jersey Pride in June and Collingswood in November. Depending on what IABX is doing this year, I may or may not be returning to that one. There was also an event in April last year that I could not manage due to another event happening that same weekend. As usual, watch this section for updates.
