It is just five short weeks until moving day and I couldn't be more excited! I am currently in Los Angeles to process my green card application. I'm praying that all goes smoothly as this will allow me to come and go in Nigeria without any (at least visa related) interruptions to my ministry. A regular visa is only valid for 30 days at a time and very expensive to extend, as well as not being an indefinite solution.
The month of March was another busy month, visiting Agnes Baptist, First Baptist Bangs, Trinity Prep secondary students, and sharing with the children's department at my home church, Birdville Baptist. The teacher in me will always love the opportunity to share with students of any age about Nigeria and help them see that somewhere across the world can have just as much value as their own community. April 1st was also my community garage sale that raised $7,000 toward my mission expenses. It was truly a miracle of a day! After weeks of collecting donations, sorting, and organizing in preparation, it absolutely paid off and I couldn't be more grateful to everyone who showed up to help.
I will be speaking at Shady Oaks Baptist in Hurst, TX on April 10th. I have the rest of the month open if anyone knows of an opportunity for me to share. As always, I cannot thank each of you enough for your continued prayers and financial support. I am still in awe that everything has fallen into place in such a short period of time.
