Madam's Corner

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!  🌺

Enjoy what is probably our last bit of cool weather for the year, while you can.  Get outside today and play!  😂

THANK YOU to all of the Bag 'n Taggers and Breakfast Crew, and CONGRATS to our Hooked on Education Scholarship Program.  We raised $3,539!!  Speaking for myself and those of you who volunteered your time, I think we all feel a collective WHEW!

Our next event will hopefully be the special Pine Island Elementary Fishing Derby in May; details to follow at the April General Membership Meeting.  I'm so glad that the kids attending PIE for the 2022 - 2023 School Year will have a chance to participate; especially for the 5th Graders.

Enjoy, stay safe, and see you at the next meeting.

HOOKERS RULE!!

Adopt-a-Road and TrashMaster Join Forces to Clean Up Pine Island Road!

When:  Sunday March 26

Times and meeting locations:  9 am at Miceli's  OR 11 am at Calusa Cay Publix

Our last Hooker Adopt-a-Road clean up was September 24th.  Pine Island Road was all spruced up just in time for our unwelcome guest, Hurricane Ian's arrival on September 28th.  However, we are tough and strong, so we're going to keep our beautiful slice of paradise free from as much trash and debris as we can by marking the 6 month anniversary with another clean up. On Sunday, March 26th we'll pick up trash along both sides of Pine Island Road from the Calusa Cay Publix, through Matlacha, to Miceli's.  Calling all Hookers and we're also reaching out to our TrashMaster community groups, Pine Island Community Church, and United Methodist church to help too.

Please join us on Sunday March 26.  Early bird teams will start at 9 am at Micelli's and work west through Matlacha.  If after church works better for your schedule, at 11 am teams will start at Calusa Cay Publix and work east to Matlacha.  We'll do both sides of the road and our partner Fred, from Lee County, will finish up the job by picking up all of our full trash bags.

We'll supply safety vests, trash pickers, bags, gloves, bug spray and water.  And as a bonus - you'll get some fresh air, sunshine and alot of happy Hookers and community volunteers working together to get a much needed and appreciated job done.  The more volunteers we have - the faster the job gets completed.

See you on Sunday!😎😎
