The year ahead for Voices of Mackellar

Committee members Maree, Claudia and Mark at our planning day last December

Many people ask us what our purpose is especially in a post election year. We’re glad to share this for 2023 following our Committee’s full day of brainstorming in December (complete with Post It notes and whiteboard!). Having a clearly stated vision & core focus helps ensure we are aligned and making a genuine impact as an organisation, and helps the wider communities understand how to engage with us.

The 3 Pillars that drive our commitments of time, resources and engagements are:

  1. Education & awareness of what is happening in parliament that impacts Mackellar, and how.

  2. Building community inclusivity & increased participation in our democracy.

  3. Ongoing community consultations &  accountability of our representatives.

Would you like to be a part of this? Following are some ways to be involved :

  1. Register for the Q&A with Dr. Sophie Scamps today. Register now!

  1. Like our Facebook Page to keep up with all our news and events.
