Receive the Moment

Hey hey!

Happy SPECIAL EDITION Newsletter Friday! Welcome to those of you who are reading this for the first time and welcome back to those returning!

Over the past 10 months, I have been devising, writing, and producing a project. Back in May 2020, I wrote a movie entitled Shipped and on March 17th the concept project "Recieve the Moment" was released! March 17th is a significant day for a few reasons. 1) The project is now open for everyone to see! 2) It commemorates another special moment in Alex's life. What is that? Oh, well let me tell you. March 17, 2020, was the first day I started my YouTube creative journey which has ultimately led me to this moment right now. Click HERE to check out my first YouTube video!

From then on, I have been creating nonstop. For the first 11 weeks of the pandemic, I was producing 5 videos a week, writing scripts, and trying to find peace in the ever-changing moment. Now, a year later I am somewhere I would have never expected. Isn't life funny that way? Each moment builds off the last but, you don't see how it does that until you are much further down the road.

This journey started with YouTube and COVID. Which then led me to start my website, my blog, and my newsletter. The first blog post was back in September 2020  "Stuck, but Moving Forward" which said I was going to keep going, creating, and finding ways to build a better world. Through constant determination and a lot of support from mentors, friends, and family (y'all know who you are) I was able to move forward. I then started my newsletter to find some good news, get to know more about each of you, and to create community. Throughout the midst of that, the canvas was happening and I didn't realize what it would turn into.

It all started on August 22nd. That was the first day a piece of paint touched the canvas. From then on many things happened. People painted on it. The canvas traveled in the mail. The canvas got stuck in the mail. The canvas got delivered to the wrong place. Life smacked the canvas. It became a physical metaphor for life. Each moment can affect the next but, you won't be able to see the art on it until it is over.

Now that this project is out in the world and reaching its end, I am filled to the brim with emotions. My heart is beyond full because the vision for this project was "to make life just a little bit brighter" and "to connect people all over the country." When the canvas was traveling I forgot that the original message was "to make life just a little bit brighter." The canvas became a light to all the artists all over the country and it was a light for me, even if I didn't know it at the time. Never underestimate connection, community, hope, friendship, and love because they are important. Now, this project can be a bright light for anyone who wants to make it their bright light. This piece of art tells a story. The story of us, the story of this pandemic, the story of our current climate, the story of this moment, our moment.

It took so many people to make this happen. It took so much love, care, and time. 34 people. 9,000+ miles. 197 days. Thousands of moments. One piece of art. Thank you for everything.

Sent with love,

Alexander Frisch

P.S.If this project became a bright light for you, send it to someone else. People need people afterall.
