The workshops invite culturally diverse creatives and arts workers to imagine a timeline towards an equitable culturally diverse arts future in Australia. The workshop flows from the personal to the structural and systemic; including exercises that reflect upon experiences of marginalisation in the arts to group exercises of collectively imagining milestones towards an equitable culturally diverse arts scene in 2050. Surveys

National Youth Settlement Framework (NYSF) survey

It's now almost three years since MYAN Australia released the National Youth Settlement Framework (NYSF) - Australia's first national framework to support and benchmark good practice in youth settlement. Since its release in 2016, approximately 300 people have attended training across Australia on the NYSF and it is has been utilised across sectors and within government to inform policy and service delivery.

Three years on and MYAN is updating elements of the NYSF in order to ensure its currency and relevance, with the plan to release this revised version in September 2019. MYAN is updating outdated context, adding a new section on youth work, adding two new good practice capabilities ('Measuring Outcomes' and a 'Rights-Based approach') and redesigning the practice tools.

This survey has been developed to capture valuable input into how the Framework is being used and its value, and to identify case studies/examples of how the Framework is being used in practice. This will ensure that the NYSF continues to enable services to respond more effectively to the settlement needs of young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.  The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Please note that the survey will close 5pm, 5th August, 2019.

Survey

Hybrid and alternating identities survey

This survey will contribute to research on the hybrid and alternating identity styles of bicultural Australians. It is the first step into an investigation of the relationship between demographic factors (length of residence and generation status) and contextual factors (perceived cultural distance and experiences with discrimination) and cultural identity styles. To be eligible to participate you must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident and consider yourself as BICULTURAL. You must be able to read in English. The survey will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Participants can provide their email address at the end of the survey if theywish to be put in the draw to win a $50 gift card.
