Blues and Brews, a monthly series hosted by NJBS and held at Montclair Brewery, kicked off the first session on July 24th with the Johnny Charles Band -- Johnny Charles (guitar), Suzanne Pisano (vocals), Roger LePage (bass) and Fred Vankeuren (drums). CHICAGO BLUES IN MAPLEWOOD Some great blues artists were in Maplewood on June 25 at Pickett's Village Bar including Diunna Greenleaf, Mud Morganfield, Bob Margolin, Bob Corritore, Dr. David Evans, along with Bob Lanza, Brad Vickers and Scott Stump provided a great evening of Chicago blues and stories of Muddy Waters and other legends of the past. All proceeds from the concert went to benefit Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity that strengthens and supports its food pantry network within Essex County by providing supplemental fresh and healthy food. | | |
