Marin City and Marinship has a deep history and connection. The Marinship has been a working boatyard for 80 years and should not be gentrified into oblivion. Instead, rather than turning it into a museum, why don't we provide our neighbors with educational opportunities, apprenticeship programs and good jobs |

Sausalito's Working Waterfront...the boats just keep on coming. |
Sausalito's boatyards ended the year as busy as ever. Ferries, commercial boats, sailboats, wooden classics and the northern California fishing fleet depend on the working waterfront to maintain their fleets. Look for some special vessels to be hauled out in coming months. Bayside Boatworks, Argo Rigging and Spaulding Boatworks are as busy as they have ever been. We are a maritime community and need to protect these businesses and expand our maritime ecosystem. |

Marinship Artists have been very busy! |
In December, many Marinship Artists participated in a greatly successful Open Studios at ICB, Marinship Studios and Varda Landing. Over 5000 people showed up to the event despite a high tide that closed Gate 5 Road. SWWC even had a booth at the event. The ICB is now fully occupied! |
