2 Nineteen music school is growing, and we have now moved from our home studio to a good, non-commercial space in the neighbourhood. We are very thankful to St. Paul's for hosting us, and we look forward to continuing the relationships and instruction that we have with our current students, while being able to offer our unique style of lessons to even more students. To access the music room, please use the lower entrance, and the music room will be straight ahead. There is also plenty of free parking available. |

New Teachers! We are so excited to announce that we are partnering with not one, but two, amazing piano teachers this year! Meet Fangrao and Helen! |
Fangrao Cui is a professional pianist who has a great passion for music and piano instruction. She fell in love with music and began playing piano at the age of 4. She came to Canada when she was in high school and has been living in St. John’s, NL for 6 years. She has completed her B. Music in piano performance at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and she is currently pursuing her Masters in Music at Ottawa University. Fangrao has always been enthusiastic about teaching, collaborating, and performing because her desire is to share the joy of music with others. |
Helen Wensel is a consummate student of music who began playing piano as a young child and built upon her love for melody at the San Francisco Conservatory. She began giving private piano lessons in college and is a state certified teacher in Texas. She earned her B. Music in Piano Performance and Music Education from San Jose State University, and her Masters of Music in Choral Conducting at The University of Texas - San Antonio. She has extensive experience as a Choir Director for numerous institutions and, in addition to her teaching positions, has been an accompanist for numerous churches, choirs, and chamber groups. Helen and her family moved to Ottawa during the summer of 2022, and she is excited to continue instructing others in music. |
Both of these individuals are incredibly talented pianists, with great, positive attitudes. They share our passion and vision for teaching music and we are thrilled to have them join our team. For some of you, this will mean transitioning to a new teacher in the fall, and we hope to make this change as smooth as possible. |
