Hello friends! We turned three this July! We are grateful to you for your support all these years, and look forward to working harder and creating greater impact in the coming years. Last three years have been a roller coaster ride. Starting our first community kitchen in Nathupur village, doing Poshan Melas with the Delhi government, setting up a bigger kitchen but getting stalled due to COVID, engaging in massive COVID relief work, developing and conducting online awareness programs - we have seen and done it all! All towards our mission of enabling people to choose and access healthy food. Get a glimpse into our 3-year journey below. We have also grown over these years. Leveraging the online mode of education during COVID has allowed us to cross borders. We have now expanded to other cities, states and even countries! We have conducted programs for people in diverse locations including Delhi NCR, Jaipur, Bangalore, Mumbai, Melbourne, UAE and USA. We have also grown in the number of partnerships and collaborations. We are now partnering with home chefs and others engaged in healthy cooking. Do read about our first healthy cooking session on ice-creams conducted by mom chef Vidisha. So despite all the challenges and hardships, what keeps us going? It is being able to make a difference in someone's life. In particular, the stories of change of all our program participants inspire us every day to do more. Read below the story of 8-year old Vihaan, who is constantly applying his learnings to daily life, and is choosing his food consciously every time. We are proud of you, Vihaan! We are now committed to take our programs to a greater number of children. If you would like to support our work, do consider donating your time, money or other resources. You can read more about how you can donate or volunteer below. Stay safe and healthy! And happy eating! Raadhika Gupta |

Reaching Kids Across Borders The virtual world has empowered us to cross state and national borders and reach more number of kids. We are delivering our Food Funda program on food and nutrition to 45 children from low-income households studying in Sunbeam School in Mumbai. As part of the program, children will gain knowledge and practical tools on right food and nutrition. We also conducted a Summer Camp exclusively for children in UAE, involving knowledge sessions, cooking and quizzes. |

Making Healthy Ice-Creams After a series of Summer Camps, we conducted a healthy ice-cream making workshop for kids. The session was led by mom chef Vidisha Jindal, who shared some easy and yummy recipes using simple ingredients like mango, banana, almonds and cocoa powder. The recipes did not use any refined sugar, whipped cream, condensed milk or colours, but still the ice-creams turned out creamy and delicious. The kids loved making and eating their own ice-creams, and later shared pictures with us. Do check out these pics and the recipes here and here. |

Meet Vihaan Jindal Summer Camp participant, 8-year old "The 6 sessions changed my food plate tremendously." |

"During this summer vacation I got an opportunity to enroll in Foodshaala Foundation's summer camp organised by Raadhika ma'am and Amit Sir. The 6 sessions changed my food plate tremendously. The whole Workshop was very informative and interactive. I learnt about so many new things about food and nutrition like micro and macro nutrients, Millets and much more. There were special classes by Dt. Sonam Ma'am. Also the sessions were fun filled where we had so many quizzes, we made yummy and healthy recipes too. After this camp , I have become self conscious about my eating habits. I try to incorporate chia seeds, coconut water, almonds, salad, ragi etc. regularly in my diet. Also my intake of junk food has decreased a lot. Now I enjoy adding colours to my plate. Thank you Raadhika Ma'am and Amit Sir for an extraordinary learning experience." |
