-------------------

The pandemic numbers keep going up and sadly every day we see more and more hungry people on the streets in need of a meal and help.

So our focus now is on hunger, food insecure people and the upcoming colder days and yes winter that will be here very, very soon.

Hunger:

a: a craving or urgent need for food or a specific nutrient

b: an uneasy sensation occasioned by the lack of food.

c: a weakened condition brought about by prolonged lack of food and even dead from hunger

 Food insecure

: unable to consistently access or afford adequate food

A food-insecure household may be faced with the difficult choice of paying for basic necessities, such as health care and housing, or buying nutritionally adequate foods.

By comparison, about 1 in 4 households is food insecure, the analysis found.— Aimee Picchi, CBS News, "Hungry with children: 1 in 3 families with kids don't have enough food," 22 Sep. 2020

There are estimates that between six and nine million people have become permanently unemployed; forty million, meanwhile, were food insecure before Covid-19 hit.— Alex Shephard,

We serve between 180-200 meals (lately even higher) a day and we run out of food to hand out almost EVERY DAY. That is why your donations, support and active help is needed more then ever.

Moderator Corner

Welcome to the POD from the MOD!

Here we will discuss all things having to do with the FDDR video feed.  We encourage you to submit any questions you may have.

It’s that time of year where the trees start to turn and the weather changes here in Michigan.

With that being said let’s turn a new page. Let’s all remember and focus on the good things in life.

We here at FDDR want to keep things loving, caring, peaceful & respectful. As Chief moderator the one thing i love to do, as my girls also do is simply welcome each and everyone of you.

With our numbers growing and more people we have watching that are new. Our focus turns to the comments between each and everyone of you. My concerns are that some are responding to the questions or concerns with rude comments. We all have to respect each other. We all have to give a hands up not a hands down whether we are having a bad day or not. Some comments can be misconstrued so don’t always jump on that person for wanting to learn. We are here to spread awareness about the on going problem of hunger.

So as we have new viewers let’s teach them. We go live for a few reasons the biggest is to spread awareness. So let’s also spread awareness by teaching our new viewers on the live feed about the issue at hand.

That’s where the respect comes in. That’s how we love, care, & help one another ❤️

BE KIND to one another.

As some questions also arise about sending big pic gifs or hearts 💞 please understand we as moderators have to prepare ourselves on which link to send to certain questions or comments. With those big hearts 💞 or pic gifs it’s hard to see all the comments. All i ask is that you don’t over send hearts (like 5 lines or more) example~ ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ This clogs the entire feed because not just one person does it. When many people follow suit it’s a TON of blocked space plus Facebook filters comments so in return they possibly filter that one comment or more about how a person can help or donate.

We absolutely LOVE your hearts it shows us all your love and support. But PLEASE use the like or love buttons on the bottom right side of your screen (Facebook issued). We want to be able to answer those questions as much as possible and also get those donations as this is how FDDR is able to do what we do.

Have a safe and beautiful autumn 🍂🎃🍁🍃
