Most teachers have had the wonderful experience of teaching a pre-school student who listens carefully, does what you ask, and is eager to learn. That is indeed a great experience. But perhaps, you have also been challenged by a student who isn't so eager to respond and learn, and the lessons can be challenging. This talk aims to provide some insights of ways to encourage that child to learn, some practical applications for developing focus and exercises for concentration and finger dexterity. Also, we will discuss ways to try to keep the sense of marvel that each child brings to our studio, and how to keep us open to that challenge.
