Get Crafty: Pick Up a Take and Make Activity Kit! |

Want a fun, do-it-yourself activity at home? Pick up a Take and Make Kit at your nearest YCL location! Kits are available for all ages and typically include instructions, necessary materials, and information for any other common items required. Most kits are available in limited supplies on a first-come, first-served basis. |

- Clover Library: A "Jack and the Beanstalk"-themed seed-growing activity for children to grow their own "beanstalk;" and a personalized writing box kit for adults, complementing Marcus Sedgwick's "Why We Write" program.
- Fort Mill Library: A quilt-making craft for children and families; and another patchwork quilt-themed kit for adults.
Main Library, Rock Hill: A mini-book kit for children to create their own illustrated story; and a "Cozy No-Sew Fleece Blanket" kit for adults, which will be featured in a special edition of "Stay Creative, York County." York Library: A soda bottle compost (part of a "Kitchen in a Box" grant from the South Carolina State Library), which lets children learn about recycling while watching the composting process as it happens; as well as fairy-tale themed kits for baking, bedtime stories, and STEM construction. All Locations: "Spooky storytelling-in-a-box" kits for teens, with a journal, DYI flip book and sound effects, dice, and a mini-matchbox story craft.

Online Library Card Renewal Now Available Library cards expire every two years and must be renewed. To renew your library card online, fill out our online form, and a library staff member will review the information and process the renewal. You may also call or visit your local YCL location to renew your card. All fines and fees on the card must be paid in full in order to renew library privileges. |

Income Tax Help: Resources for Forms and Preparation The IRS has provided YCL with 1040 and 1040-SR forms, Schedules 1–3, and instructions. No state income tax forms are available. A Tax Help Flyer with information on tax forms and assistance is available at all YCL locations. VITA will provide very limited free assistance at only one location in York County. |

York County Library Hours and Closing Notices Clover, Lake Wylie, & York: Monday – Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Fort Mill & Rock Hill: Monday – Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friends Books on Main will reopen March 4 for regular hours, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. For just $10, fill a bag, supplied by the Friends, with adult, fiction, and non-fiction mass-market paperbacks! Bags generally hold 35–40 books. The sale runs March 4–6. Lake Wylie Library will be closed March 8–14 for building and facility improvements. During this closing: Curbside services and book drops will be unavailable. No fines or fees will be charged. Holds will remain at the branch until reopening. Holds already in transit cannot be redirected to another location. Items can be returned at other branch libraries or held until reopening.
