Imagination

 

I think the current health crisis, the social and political emergences are challenging our imagination.  I can help feeling a tad nervous about what this New  Year will bring. My imagination seems to have been put on pause for a while,  it's time to ignite it again.So I decided to go for the best case scenario and lean into Love instead of Fear.By imagining a better future we give ourselves something to look forward to and aim for. Being ready for the next phase of our journey enables us to open our mind to all sort of possibilities and solve current problems as we relax into the now.Meditation is a great tool to attain this and "feed" our imagination.

Meditation

 

Meditation is a great way to quieten your mind. With all the uncertainty at the moment it is important to take the time to regain perspective and enjoy the now or simply to catch your breath.

By bringing yourself to the present moment without an agenda or a goal you enter the space that allows you to co-create, as meditation deepens and

expands your awareness.

. Furthermore meditation is quite beneficial. for your body.  A study done at Harvard Medical School proved that a daily meditation of 20 minutes lowers stress, reduces pain and inflammation in the body, and helps to relieve anxiety and depression

.Your practice can last  5 minutes or 1 hour

Apples are rich in antioxidants, fiber, and phytonutrients. A 2011 review of research concluded that apples could help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, and asthma. Researchers also noted that they could improve outcomes related to Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive decline of normal aging, diabetes, weight management, and bone health.

A very good reason to have an apple on a regular basis as part of your 5 a day. 

My favourite at this time of the year is the Cox, but any variety will do. Even cooked apple are good for you and I love a delicious apple compote spiced iwth cinnamon,ginger and cardamonn as a dessert or in the morning.
