Summary: According to the TWDB, Willow Park is currently in a D2, Severe Drought, but what kind of drought? "Texas finds itself continually stuck between instances of drought and instances of flood. While everyone is familiar with drought... it's important to remember that there are different types of drought."

Willow Park Property Tax for 2023 and the Devil in the Details

Summary: While the City is celebrating its proposed real estate property tax rate decrease of $.14, don't get out your party hats, quite yet. The citizens of Willow Park will have a new, additional tax of $.10 levied by the Emergency Service District 1. And there's more buzzkill.

WP's New Ready-made Kings Gate Park. It's Official.

Summary: Kings Gate Park, with its playground and trails, is officially a park of the City of Willow Park. And now the City will be able to move forward more quickly to make improvements and additions (like bathrooms).

Update: Street Improvement Projects, Ranch House Road (Vista and Crown)

Update: Ranch House Road traffic switch. August 7 crews switched the traffic flow on Ranch House Road (between Crown Road and Vista/East Lake).The eastbound lane is now OPEN and the westbound lane is closed. The detour route from Crown Road to Live Oak to Vista is still open for westbound travelers.

Results for Operation Slow Down, WP Police Enforcement Wave, 14 July to 30 July 2023

Summary: "Although we had officers in training and out sick, patrol still managed to get some work in for this short wave period. These shifts were approximately 4hrs long each, and averaged 3.3 stops per hour." Top speed was 118 mph.
