We are so excited to announce our collaboration with Brett Cotter. Brett is the author and founder of Stress Is Gone, a self-care program that helps people learn how to let go of stress, anxiety and the emotional pain from traumatic memories. A bit about Brett: Brett has over 20-years experience helping people let go. He specializes in group facilitation, 1-on-1 coaching and guided meditation. He has taught his signature classes in Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, schools, non-profits, military bases, disaster sites, and world renowned retreat centers. He was trained by a 35th Generation Shaolin Grandmaster and the Himalayan Institute. A bit about the Stress Is Gone Method: The Stress Is Gone Method is a transformational healing technique that helps you quickly release old layers of pain, trauma and tension and reclaim inner peace, joy, and freedom. Immerse yourself in a supportive format that includes coaching, music, movement and meditation to facilitate deep emotional healing of inner pain, emotional blocks, traumatic memories, relationships, and lost love. As the group releases layers of old emotions, the body begins to feel lighter and the mind becomes clear. Most people leave feeling restored, empowered and ready to re-engage in life. Recap: The Love + Wellness Retreat |
We are so proud to share that our very first retreat was a success! The Love + Wellness retreat, held on February 19, was focused on giving participants a new perspective on self-love and actionable ways to continue their practice of self-care. Our retreat guests enjoyed acupuncture, massage, meditation, a nutrition talk during a fabulous lunch, halotherapy along with a conversation on decreasing toxic load, an amazing sound bath in our salt cave, and group time to connect, share, and let go. Do you want to experience a Pellegrino Retreat Day? We are so thrilled with the experience that we are planning our next one, so stay tuned! Go to our retreat page and sign up to be one of the first to know about our next retreat date. |

What Our Patients Are Saying |
"Through the years I’ve visited the Center regularly for acupuncture, breath work/meditation, yoga, and massages. Yesterday was my first intuitive healing session with Beth and it was wonderful. The session was conducted in the calmness of the salt cave. Beth used a combination of reiki, sound healing, aromatherapy, and crystals to rebalance and ground me mentally, physically, and emotionally. She was intuitive in identifying my specific needs, an excellent listener, gentle, and attentive. I left feeling at peace, restored, and supported. I’ve already booked my next session!" ~Fay C. |

"Everyone is full of knowledge and passionate about your health and wellbeing!!!!" ~Lee D. |

"Every experience at Pellegrino is fantastic. It’s a little slice of heaven right in Hyde Park. The staff is friendly and always welcoming!" ~Jen K. |

"I am new to the Pellegrino Healing Center but not for long! The moment I walked into this beautiful space, I knew I was in a very special environment. The aesthetics are lovely; it's all so pleasing to the senses. I felt I was in a warm, loving nest and wanted to stay there! This is beyond a spa facility, the name is quite apropos, this is a healing center. One leaves here with a sense of connection, knowing that you'll be returning very soon. This is not just a run of the mill place where I'll come in for a massage every six months. I will be utilizing the classes and services that are being offered here on a regular basis. I had no idea how much my spirit needed this center until I walked in the doors. Ashleen is a gifted massage therapist and healer, as well as being an incredibly kind and sensitive person. I am inspired to see her once/month, instead of the usual twice/year massages, with people that I don't have a relationship with.
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Christine Pellegrino too. Just from the few minutes we spent together, I can appreciate her love, light and her vision to create this healing environment.
My gratitude for this beautiful setting extends to all who had the courage and vision to create and work at the Pellegrino Healing Center." ~Fran C. |
"After sustaining a shoulder injury I sought help at Pellegrino Healing Center on the advice of my chiropractor. I have had sessions with Chelsea and Tara, both therapists were skilled, compassionate and thorough. Different styles of massage, but both left me much improved and I will continue to receive massages at Pellegrino's until this shoulder issue resolves." ~Mary D. |

Are You Getting The Rest You Need? |
March is "National Sleep Awareness Month" Sleep Awareness month is all about checking in with yourself to make sure you are getting proper rest. It's a perfect time to try and improve on the quantity and quality of your sleep. Acupuncture can help! Founder, owner and lead acupuncturist Christine Pellegrino, M.S., L.Ac has this to say: |
"Acupuncture has a powerful way of bringing balance and harmony to the body by stimulating certain points. It can help regulate the autonomic nervous system, allowing you to shift out of a constant state of stress and into a calmer and more aligned state during waking and sleeping hours. Helping to release excess energy and tonify energy that is insufficient, acupuncture regulates the body and helps you get to sleep and stay asleep. Waking up at certain times of the night? In Traditional Chinese Medicine the time in which you wake may indicate that a specific area of the body or emotion needs to be regulated. Tell your acupuncturist about the times you are waking up, and we can refer to a traditional Chinese body clock.” |
Schedule an acupuncture consultation for just $40*. We will discuss your sleep issues, concerns, and health goals. We are covered by an ever-growing number of health insurance plans. Call us to learn about your options. *Does not include acupuncture treatment. |

Skin Care Tip of the Month |
Keep your skin looking its best by following these simple tips from our licensed esthetician Ashley Castellana, LE: 1. Make sure you get enough sleep at night. If you are getting less than the recommended 7 hours of sleep each night, your are getting insufficient sleep. This can make an older adults’ cells age quicker. Sleep for your health and for your skin! 2. Wash your face before bed. Washing your face at the end of your day will help to get all the dirt, pollutants and makeup off of your face. Your skin repairs itself at night, so sleeping in makeup can be especially detrimental. Washing your skin before bed will allow your skin to breathe better and repair itself in a more optimal way. Ashley recommends using an oil based cleanser to remove your makeup first and then wash your face with another cleanser to properly clean your face. 3. Drink enough water. Your skin is the largest organ in your body, so drinking enough water is super important not only for overall health, but for your skin. Drinking water can help your skin to keep its elasticity, can help keep it from feeling dry and flaky, and helps keep it hydrated. How much water should you drink in a day? Find out here.
