Finance Officer

Part Time (2 days per week)
£39,000 FTE (£15,600 pro rata). Pension contribution and 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata).

Spectra are looking for a Finance Officer to support our work.

You will be experienced and confident working within a voluntary sector Community Interest Company to handle our financial administration, budget management, financial reporting and budget setting. You will work in support of Spectra’s CEO, staff with lead budget responsibility, and in liaison with our appointed accountants.

Trans/Non-Binary – In Person Social Group Facilitator

Volunteer pay: £14.70 per hour

Do you want to support other trans and non-binary (TNB) people by facilitating a regular in-person social group?

Would you like to support TNB people to reconnect with the wider community in a relaxed, supportive, fun and engaging way?

If so, this could be for you!

Main Tasks include Co-facilitating an existing, thriving monthly in-person peer social group for trans and non-binary individuals. Encouraging service users to share their experiences, skills and to bring their ideas for workshops or speakers and ensuring the smooth running of events and activities.

The role involves working at a Central London venue.

The post is for sessional work; Sessions take place in the evening. Minimum commitment of 6 hours per month required.

TLP Advisory Group

The Trans Learning Partnership (TLP) maintains an Advisory Group, composed entirely of trans people, who meet to provide input on the direction and activity of the TLP. We are currently recruiting for two roles on our advisory group; one role has a housing focus, and one role has a creative focus.

  • Attending 4 virtual meetings of an hour over a year period (total 4 hours)
  • An honorarium of £250 for attendance and preparation for these meetings
  • Additional compensation available for any input above this as agreed by both parties.

The Trans Learning Partnership (TLP) is currently recruiting for an Academic Advisor. This role consists of providing academic and research expertise to the Steering Group of the Trans Learning Partnership and supporting TLP staff as we carry out our research programme.

Compensation is £3,783.14 for a year’s involvement. We may continue the position beyond this time.

Spectra Board of Directors Role Recruitment

Recruiting for a Director with lived experience and/or expertise of sex work.

Spectra is a Community Interest Company (CIC), working to improve the choices, health and well-being of structurally excluded communities across London; particularly in relation to their sexual health, emotional resilience and wellbeing, and to combat isolation and minimise risk.
Under the steer of its Chief Executive and Board of Directors, Spectra’s outstanding staff team provide supportive; knowledgeable; non-judgemental services, which are all peer led; meaning they are delivered by people with lived and learned experience. Spectra strives to proactively identify the needs of all its service users, supporting them appropriately and effectively.

If you feel passionately about addressing health inequalities and have an ethos aligned to our mission to support and empower people, we would love to hear from you.

Spectra is based in Ladbroke Grove. It is expected that you will attend five-meetings (in the evening) and a Board Away Day each year, most of which will be online but there will be at least 2 in-person meetings per year. In addition it is envisaged that you will contribute your expertise outside of Board meetings on occasion eg to review service or planning reports, to input into a focus group etc.
