Are you feeling that quickening? That burst of life force energy? That is the energy of spring. Is it perhaps making you feel a little ungrounded and jittery? Now is the time to ground, and recalibrate, perhaps close some doors and open new ones, as one cycle comes to a end and a new begins. Spring equinox is almost here. And as with any transition, sometimes our body could use a little extra support, especially after a year like 2020. Perhaps this mantra from Tanaaz, the intuitive writer and astrologer @foreverconscious will help you:
"As I Ground My Energy, I Welcome The Flow of Change."
As a fellow practitioner, Allison Kirk, said to me recently, it is kind of like we had a year of bedrest. Now suddenly we are feeling the energy of spring strong, with the pent up force of a season that came to a grinding halt a year ago. Our bodies might feel a bit weak, perhaps a little traumatized from a cycle not fully integrated that began a year ago, or just a little unsure. We may feel those bursts of fiery energy but then feel our stamina sputter out, and feel strangely exhausted. Or we may feel jittery and almost ungrounded by the possibility of a more normal summer.
Even in a normal year, seasonal transitions are often times when I notice myself catch a cold or the flu. They are times when my body feels it is cleansing and switching gears and wants a little extra support. If you are feeling this consider booking yourself a bodywork session, eating extra clean for a few weeks, and generally giving yourself some extra TLC.
Take a moment, if you can to pause and be present in this transition. Notice how the warm sun and longer days make your body feel, how the pollen in the air and the songs of the birds change your experience of both yourself and the world around you.
For bodywork, Thai Massage is one of my favorite things to do at times of seasonal transition. People often call Thai Massage a Full Body Reset. And it does seem to be almost like hitting the restart button. Many of my clients say that in the 24 to 48 hours after a Thai Massage they experience a burst of energy and greater clarity in the mind. They get up off the mat feel extra grounded and deeply connected to themselves. Some have said that during the Thai Massage they feel their thoughts come to a complete stop and they experience complete present moment awareness. You will likely feel noticeable differences in your posture and the way you carry yourself. Because Thai Massage works with acupressure points and meridian lines it clears not just the physical body but also the energetic body. If this sounds like something you might need reach out and lets get you on the schedule!
