Fighting the pandemic with InspiringHK Sports Foundation

An unusual spring in 2020.

First of all, we would like to pay tribute to all the medical workers who are fighting at the front line against the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank all frontline heroes for their selfless, fearless spirit and bringing positive energy and hope to society.

The pandemic outbreak has brought to us the longest Lunar new year holiday. Our partner, Inspiring HK Sports Foundation (IHK Sports), also called off many face-to-face services and activities as for safety measures.

InspiringHK Sports Foundation is a Hong Kong-based charity, founded in 2012 to develop better opportunities for youths through sports, with the mission “To promote and facilitate equal access to sports training for youths.” Regardless of their financial backgrounds, ethnicity nor religion, to instill good sportsmanship to enhance their social mobility, as well as to promote gender equality, social inclusion and a healthy lifestyle.

Assisting families in need

During the school suspension, IHK Sports kept up with the public welfare in many ways. Starting from March 2020, IHK Sports has distributed over 10,000 face masks and 750 hand sanitisers to underprivileged beneficiary families and youths to fight against the pandemic.

Class Stops, Exercising Doesn’t!

Staying at home for the whole day, constantly using your mobile phones and computers will inevitably decrease one’s overall health, while moderate daily exercise can improve our physical and mental health.

IHK Sports has specifically filmed a series of home workout videos "Class Stops, Exercising Doesn’t!”, inviting many ambassadors and athlete supporters to support the initiative. The videos are well received by the community and encouraged over 10,000 students to exercise at home through online teaching.
