Baton Rouge, LA — In celebration of Small Business Month, join us on Thursday, May 23, for “Panel and Perspectives, an evening focused on the growth and resilience of Baton Rouge's local businesses and creative sectors. The night will focus on dialogue and networking and all proceeds will benefit the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, a local non-profit devoted to transforming area high school students into confident entrepreneurs. 
 

"Panel and Perspectives" is not just an event; it's a movement towards building a more interconnected and prosperous community.
 

We are thrilled to welcome Jenn Ocken as our keynote speaker. A seasoned career photographer, Jenn brings a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering others. She will share her journey and the lessons learned about cultivating a purpose-driven life through one's passions. Her vision is clear: to help others not just survive but thrive, achieving a balanced, quality life filled with joy and fulfillment.
 

Our panel, composed of influential voices from the local business and creative communities, includes Doug Gay (Baton Rouge Music Studios), Narcisse Burchell (Nexus Louisiana), and Sarah Joy (CounterSpaceBR). The panel will engage in a discussion centered on the challenges and opportunities that shape Baton Rouge's entrepreneurial landscape. 
 

Mary Ellen Slayter, owner of Rep Cap and the newly launched Groworking Space, brings her expertise in fostering collaborative environments to guide the evening’s discussion. Her commitment to community and innovation makes her an ideal moderator for this event.
 

Additionally, we are excited to introduce the "Collaboration Corner," an innovative networking opportunity that allows attendees to engage directly in creating social media content with fellow attendees.
