Two April Scavenger Hunts!
This month's Hunt features April holidays. In a second Hunt during Rose week, Little Ones can win a board book about Shakespeare while supplies last! Sponsored by the Friends. 

Día de los Libros Family Concert
April 2   5:30-6:30
The Del Mar Library will ring with music from across Latin America in this all ages concert performed by Luisa Corredor and Ignacio Arango. Sponsored by the Friends.

Meet the Bees!
April 10 2:30-3:30
 
 Children in grades K-5 will have a thrilling time learning about bees with Ana M's Apiary! They will see inside a real hive and make their own pollinator station.

 Shakespeare's Birthday Celebration
SONNETS
April 23  5:30-6:30
Join us for a special event on Shakespeare's birthday. In partnership with the San Diego Shakespeare Society, Dr. Gideon Rapport will discuss interpretations of Shakespeare's sonnets followed by members of the Society reading aloud their favorite sonnet.
 
 CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP
April 24  4:00-5:00
Create a bookmark on parchment in calligraphy script, with rose flourishes! Registration is required for this workshop.

Rose Show
April 25 - April 27 
The Del Mar Rose Society will hold its annual juried competition at the library. Little Ones can enjoy two Story Times on April 24. View and vote for your favorite roses on April 25. Guitar concert on April 26 and a craft workshop on the 27th. Sponsored by the Friends. 

Classical Guitar Concert
April 26 11:00 - 12:00
Dream among the roses while guitarist Nico Hueso eases you into the weekend. Sponsored by the Friends. 

Make Beautiful Paper Flowers 
April 27 11:00-1:00
Gracie's popular adult craft workshop returns to the library. All materials supplied. For 14 years old to Adult.  Space is limited to 15 participants so sign up soon. Sponsored by the Friends.

Support the Del Mar Library

 Become a member of the Friends of the Del Mar Library, a nonprofit organization, or donate online to support activities and programs like concerts, yoga, family playtime, art classes, and new books at the Del Mar Library. The Friends also funds upgrades to the Library and the Mosaic Garden Wall.
