As the NH Kiva hub, REDC is pleased to announce Edward and his business Bravo Cleaning Services received a $6,500 loan on the Kiva platform from 100 lenders. Bravo Cleaning Services is based in Manchester, NH, and this loan will assist Edward with purchasing equipment and storage space to grow his business.

 

Twenty years ago, Edward moved his family from the Dominican Republic to the United States in search of a better life with more opportunities. He has worked in the cleaning industry since moving here and started his own cleaning services business in 2017.

REDC is pleased to provide funding to Gloss Skin & Nail Center, formerly known as Gloss Esthetics, a salon that offers nail care, facial services, body treatments, and waxing. The loan will be used for the purpose of working capital as this business expands and relocates to East Hampstead, NH.

Partner Spotlight: The Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship

The deadline is fast approaching for The Hannah Grimes Center Food Business Lab, a 7-week business planning program with ongoing support that will change the course of your food startup.

 

The Food Business Lab™ is for early-phase food and beverage entrepreneurs. This is defined as a range of businesses from those that are at the idea phase and have not yet started selling to those selling up to $5,000 per month in product. Food businesses can include value-added farm products, restaurants, food trucks, packaged food and value-added producers, artisanal beverages (including wine, beer, mead, soda, and spirits), baked goods, pet treats, and more.

 

Over the course of the 7-week class, you will work with experienced coaches and facilitators to launch or grow your food business. Participants will complete hands-on exercises and walk away with valuable resources including a pitch deck, business plan, marketing strategies, financial statements, and a network of coaches and peers.

 

When: Thursdays, 4:30-7:30 PM | May 18th - June 22 and Thursday June 29th from 5:00-8:00 PM

 

Where: The Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship, Keene, NH 

 

Cost: The tuition for Business Lab! is $700. The Hannah Grimes Center has scholarships available for qualifying applicants.

Client Spotlight: Northeast Therapy & Service Dogs

REDC provided financing to Northeast Therapy and Service Dogs last fall and is excited to share their dog sanctuary construction is under way.

 

Northeast Therapy and Service Dogs is a home-based dog training, boarding, daycare, and small breeding business, based in Newfields, NH. Funding provided is assisting with construction and working capital for building an indoor training facility for dog training and development of pets, emotional support dogs, and working dogs, while preserving the breed and enhancing qualities through purposeful breeding.
