The House of Representatives is considering whether to bring the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 7) to a vote, and your representative needs to hear from you to help make it happen! For decades, Americans of both parties have agreed that it is wrong to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions.

Act now to urge your Delegate and Senator to pass a budget that includes the life-saving Hyde provision. The Hyde Amendment has been in place in federal law for nearly half a century. It prohibits federal funding of abortions under Medicaid and various other programs except in cases of danger to the life of the mother, rape and incest. But Virginians are currently paying for abortions – with state tax dollars – beyond what federal law requires.
