News

The HWA is NOT funding chapter activities at present. Marketing items have also not been updated. We are creating those ourselves for the time being. We will have a chapter presence at World Fantasy Con in Kansas City as well as Authorcon IV in St. Louis next year. These opportunities have been paid for.

Taking advantage of future opportunities will require funding. The chapter is in communications with the HWA's leadership on this issue and updates will be shared when they are available.

Horror in the Heartland will be hosting a special session on November 12th. We invite you to attend and share your feedback.

This chapter will consider separating from the HWA if and only if we cannot gain the support we need to function.

Please stay tuned for future developments.

Horror in the Heartland has secured a table at Scares that Care's Authorcon IV in St. Louis in 2024. Stay tuned for more info!

Horror in the Heartland will be holding a special session on November 12th to brainstorm future projects and consider our path forward as a chapter. Those interested in volunteering are urged to come forward.
