Moon's Nest Forest School Fridays November Schedule Friday, November 1st @ Lone Fir Cemetery Friday November 8th @ Reed Canyon Friday November 15th @ Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge Friday November 22nd @ Laurelhurst Park We currently have 2 spots available in our Forest School Friday program fer kiddos ages 4 & up. Moon's Nest Forest School meets every Friday at rotating natural areas and parks around SE Portland. Monthly tuition is income based and operates on a wide and inclusive sliding scale of $150-$450/ mo. We also offer drop in spots fer Forest School Fridays fer kiddos ages 4+ Drop in cost : $50/day *Weather appropriate gear and ability to be comfortable outdoors in all varieties of weather required* Please send an email to moonsnestplayschool@gmail.com to inquire about enrollment in our Forest School Friday program, or to inquire about scheduling a drop in visit with us on an upcoming Forest School Day! |

On Friday November 1st the Moon's Nest Playschool will be taking our annual Samhain Field Study to Lone Fir Cemetery! This annual Field Study is a much anticipated tradition of our playschool community, and this year Teacher Claire will be leading our witchlets fer a day of mushroom hunting and observation, Samhain rituals, and walking the edges of the realms as the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. So, add it to yer calendar! November 1st, please plan to rendezvous fer playschool pick up and drop off at Lone Fir Cemetery's main entrance. We're offering just two drop in spots fer this Field Study fer kiddos ages 4+ Drop in cost : $50/day *No cost fer witchlets who are enrolled in our Friday programming!! On Thursday November 14th Miz Flow will be joining the Moon's Nest Playschool fer a Portland Town Field Study to OMSI! We'll be exploring the museum's new exhibit, Exquisite Creatures, and getting to know a whole lot more about the magical world of bugs and insects. Please plan to rendezvous fer our playschool day at OMSI's main entrance fer drop off and pick up. A bit about the exhibit, from the OMSI website : "Experience how awe-inspiring the natural world can be through the intricate design of its inhabitants. Examine the connections between art and science through stunning three-dimensional displays of rare specimens from all over the world." So many thanks to the 2019 Northwest Permaculture Convergence! What a sweet few days of magic, ritual, forest creek play, crafting, learning ethical and ceremonial harvesting, mushroom foraging, fire making, square dancing, and new friend making we shared! The Moon's Nest School of Magic, Mischief, & Mystery was pleased to be a part of all the learning and playing that happened this year at Lost Valley Educational Center, and hopes to see y'all next year fer the 2020 Northwest Permaculture Convergence.

Kindle Cascadia 2017; Moon's Nest Winter Plant Walk Kindle Cascadia 2019 December 17 – 22, 2019 Aprovecho Sustainability Education Center, Cottage Grove, OR Invitation & Call The Moon's Nest School of Magic, Mischief, & Mystery is pleased to be partnered again this year with Kindle Cascadia fer the 2019 Winter Solstice Skill Share Gathering and Ritual. After taking the year off last year, we are so excited to be back with these dear friends this year. We invite you to join us this Winter Solstice Tide fer a magical 6 days of crafting, learning, ritualizing, playing, preparing our hearts fer the longest, darkest night of the year, and welcoming in the Winter season. We'll get cozy in the lodge around the wood stove, delve into our magical shape shifting selves with an abundance of winter time forest play, make the village rounds, learn new skills and crafts, make gifts fer our beloveds, brave the darkest night of the year with nuthin' but our hand crafted lanterns, and enjoy an abundance of yummy, gooey, Hearth Arts sessions in the Aprovecho Kitchen Studio. So please do join us again this year as we continue the work of forming meaningful memories, relationships, and traditions that will inspire us throughout the year and bring us back to each other in the next. We are so very inspired to continue this work with all of you, and to cultivate magical experiences for the children of the Kindle Cascadia community and their families.We do hope that you will join us this year as we cast our circle of connecting, playing, and learning together! ✨🕯xoxo.
