Dear All,
Change is afoot as the leaves start to fall and the thick understory of our local woods and forests dies off to reveal the earth beneath. But that's not the whole story, the dying plants aren't just revealing the forest floor, they are breaking down and composting to create the seeds and soil that will burst into life again next spring. This process of death and renewal surrounds us when we get out and into our natural landscapes.
I'm constantly reminded of this as I develop mine and others' nature connection. And, in my latest book that is out this week I explore this propensity of animals and plants to share, care for, and even recognise the needs of others. In this recent blog, I explore this care and recognition as a manifestation of love, suggesting that "The modern world is at odds with Love".
This is one reason why many of us feel so rushed, stressed, and unable to fulfil ours and others' needs. While this gives us the sense that we need to rush to achieve more, the calm that we seek is often to be found by slowing down and this is one of the things that the guided nature connection that I offer is very good for.
I write more on this in my latest book, Love and the Market: How to Recover from the Enlightenment and Survive the Current Crisis. The book is out this week and you can claim a 50% discount with code CNF24 via the link above.
In Love and the Market, I propose that we need to seek opportunities to 'engage in non transactional acts of care'. This can be achieved by the guided activities that I offer and, to practice what I preach, I am offering free ecotherapy sessions for the rest of the month. Or, you can use the same page to book a free 15 minute call with me to discuss how ecotherapy might help you.
Please book your free session or get in touch if you would like to discuss this further.
Please also forward this email to anyone who you think might benefit from the calm that comes from guided nature connection.
Love,
Rob
