Lifestyle Factors and Clinical Severity of Parkinson’s Disease |
The purpose of this study was to explore the association of coffee drinking, aspirin intake, and smoking, with motor and non-motor symptoms in those with Parkinson's. The study involved a cohort of 35,959 American patients with PD. Here is what they found: Coffee drinkers had fewer problems swallowing but dosage and duration of coffee intake were not associated with motor or non-motor symptoms Aspirin intake correlated with more tremor, problems getting up, light-headedness, and problems remembering. Smokers had more mood-related symptoms: unexplained pains, problems remembering, and feeling sad. |

Nutrition Study Looking for Participants! |

Dr. Bill Comiskey ND is looking for about a dozen people with Parkinson’s that would be interested in participating in an observational study to validate a nutrition based program to slow the progression of the disease and reduce symptoms. He currently has patients already using the program who are experiencing great results. Contact Dr. Bill Comiskey at bc@keyano.com if you are interested. Check out the video below about a group in Italy that uses a similar program. |
